Not the most exciting post but here you have it, my teeny tiny dresser! It's actually just the world's smallest plain pine chest of drawers for some of us wept at the Ikea delivery charge and do not have access to a car for lugging purposes.
It needs work (and there's a bunch of random necessities hidden in the first drawer - 50 nail polishes, anyone?) but I'm glad to have anywhere to get ready in the morning after a few years of super disorganisation!
The snazzy mirror and clear jewellery box are from Urban Outfitters, cotton wool holder and tiny gold-rimmed plate from Zara Home, which is seriously my happy place. I could spend thousands in there... If I had thousands to spend. Which I don't.
Am I really the last person in the world to get around to setting this up? I can't even remember ever having a dressing table when I lived at home during high school, or in my various student accommodation later. Clearly I fail at organisation.

Happy Valentine's Day! I used to dub the 14th of February Happy Nobody Loves You Day but that's just glum. So instead of being a sulk I spent last night baking sugar cookies (so good!) and brought them into work today. I should have taken the photo before transport cause the icing got a little dented but they were still cute. And people wolfed them down!
Our Creative Director left all the girls a red rose on our desks which was the sweetest! A bunch of us had a nice lunch together and generally there was good feeling in the air at casa del work today.
Now I'm snuggled up in festively red fleecy pyjama pants with good books and spring rolls and my virtual farm. Happy day indeed!
Sugar Cookie Recipe
100g caster sugar
½ a lightly beaten egg
200g plain flour
Mix into a dough and voilà. Bake at 150 degrees C until lightly browned then top with icing once they've cooled.

This beautiful Smythson notebook was a gift from an intern of mine. She knew green was my favourite colour and thought the text weird and wonderful was most fitting. I chose to take it as a compliment! :D
I couldn't think what to do with it though. It was just too pretty to ruin with any old scribbles. Then at the start of this year I figured out exactly what to write.
The last few years have been pretty hard for me. I suffer from B12 Deficiency, which if you look at the terrifying list of symptoms is not a nice thing. It runs in my family, but was left undiagnosed in me until now, and unfortunately in my case is not curable by diet. My body isn't able to absorb the vitamin, even from prescription strength supplements. Hopefully soon I'll start treatment with some B12 injections which should fix the problem entirely, so long as I get them regularly until the end of time.
It's not the most fun thing to think about, but the possibility of feeling better after so many years is exciting. You know those mornings when you wake up tired, you have a headache by breakfast, you're breathless trying to walk down the road, and everything just feels like so much effort? Those are every one of my days right now.
When you feel sick all the time it's difficult to be appreciative of what you have. So my gorgeous little notebook has two purposes. Firstly, for as many days as I can remember, I write a sentence about that day, trying to focus on something good. Then in the back, I have a (growing) list of positive things about me. It's hella difficult to write but forcing myself to think about things I'm good at or ways in which I'm a good person does help keep my spirits up.
Hopefully soon I won't need the extra cheering up and collecting happy snippets of my days will just be one more fun thing to look back on in the future!

When I found out I was going to the Jennifer Lawrence/Bradley Cooper screening I was wearing big furry UGG-style boots. Super classy, right? I don't know about you but I cannot deal with turning up under-dressed. It seriously freaks me out! Can you imagine, being chased out of

Because of my job and other fun industry or PR contacts I occasionally get to do really cool things. A couple of years ago I walked the red carpet at the same time as James Franco for the European premiere of 127 Hours in Leicester Square. Yesterday I got a last minute invite to one of those things.
The Charlote Street Hotel were holding the tiniest screening, in their private screening room, of Silver Linings Playbook, plus a Q&A with Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper. I'm a huge fan of them both so I nearly peed myself when I found out I was going! You can imagine my excitement when I found out I was in the front row!
